He has also produced countless concerts and is renowned in the pop culture community, gaining the moniker “The King of Pop Culture.” Gary also appeared on PBS’s “Antiques Roadshow” for 13 seasons as the appraiser of pop culture, collectibles and toys. NECC will feature all the favorites of comic cons and pop culture events including cosplay, costume contests, video game free play and competitions, celebrity guests signing autographs, panels, screenings, parties, VIP Experiences, and vendors of vintage and modern toys, comic books, jewelry, clothing, art and other pop culture must-haves, along with Artists and Authors. What sets us apart is how we’re bringing you the content. Panel and screening seats will be reserved ahead of time, so no waiting in mobs of people only to realize the room is filled for your favorite panel. Many of our celebs will be doing Video Ops. … you get a video by email as your bragging rights to share with your friends as you walk away from the booth. You can take any number of still photos from the video so instead of having one Photo, you know have hundreds … plus Audio … you can talk to the Celeb for a minute or so and get their voice on your video. Since NECC isn’t at a hotel, there will be a lot more room for cosplay, contests, vendors and fun. On Saturday evening, there will be an after party at the Crowne Plaza in Woburn, our host hotel for those interested in parties. We have a special rate at the hotel available on the Hotel page in the FAQ. More questions? Feel free to contact Gary directly at garysohmers@gmail.com
